What is IntroSPECtion?

IntroSPECtion Mag is a multi-media speculative fiction (sci-fi, fantasy, etc) newsmag that analyzes and reviews the bodies of work we love from our own marginalized voices. Most of our team is comprised of queer/trans, or disabled/neurodiverse people, and because of this we love to uplift marginalized voices/works created by marginalized people. With most of us based out of Canada we also place a strong focus on the importance of uplifting the Canadian specific voice.

We also are publishing our own original speculative works.

How we define
'Speculative'

Any story that portrays aspects that don’t exist and haven’t existed in the immediate reality.

David Gugliesi

Creative Director (he/him)

David Gugliesi was born in Bogotá, Colombia 22 years ago. Ever since he remembers, he developed a strong enthusiasm and passion for videogames, comics, visual novels, movies, and cartoons. As he grew older, this passion grew with him, transforming itself into a burning desire to not only engage in these mediums by playing, reading, or watching them, but also by creating them.

With this in mind, David decided to go to study in Canada, obtaining an Art Fundamentals diploma, and then moving on to major in Creative Writing & Publishing at Sheridan College. Currently in his 4th year, David continues with his passion for the multimedia arts, writing mostly fiction and screenplays in the genres of existentialism, horror, romance and near realism.
